Youth & Family

At South Baton Rouge, our desire is to minister to people at every age and stage of life. This includes finding ways to encourage the many children and youth that God has been pleased to bless our church with.

As we look at the Scriptures, we see that God has provided two communities through which the nurturing and encouragement of our children is to take place. The primary "community" is, of course, the family and the secondary community is the wider church.

While we recognize the uniqueness of young people as a distinctive demographic, we want to make sure that we minister to them in ways that do not isolate them but which, instead, strengthen their family connections, as well as their connection to the Body of Christ as a whole.

As a result, in everything we do - whether it is a bible study, a missions trip, a fun activity - our hope is to do it in a relational and connectional way and, further, to make sure that the direction of the ministry to youth and families is in line with the overall Mission and Vision of SBRPC.
